I was raised in a family of healthcare professionals, leading to a career in nursing. I found my most fulfilling work in a clinical research unit, where I formed deep connections with patients while adhering to protocols that extended their lives. After leaving this role to focus on family and manage family businesses with my oldest son, Jon, my career took a pause.
Searching for meaningful work, I discovered a passion for holistic healing. Over 20 years ago, I became a Reiki practitioner and later specialized in cancer massage therapy. My life changed drastically when Jon tragically died in a car accident. Overwhelmed with grief, I found healing through prayer, meditation, and a commitment to live fully. This led me to train as an End of Life Doula, providing holistic emotional care to the dying and their families. I found fulfillment in helping clients make informed decisions and live their remaining time with purpose.
I had long dreamed of becoming a life coach and finally pursued this path over two years ago. I completed intensive training and became a certified DreamBuilder coach and Life Mastery Consultant through the Brave Thinking Institute. Now, I help women who are struggling with loss to rebuild their lives and achieve success and fulfillment.
I believe in finding joy in everyday life and treasure the natural world, family, and friends. I enjoy photography, music, dance, ethnic food, great coffee, and travel. A visit to an ashram in India was particularly transformative for me. Recently, I became a grandmother, and treasure time with him. My dream is to hike part of the Appalachian Trail, climb a mountain in New Zealand, and create the Triangle Center for Conscious Living and Dying in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, NC, where I continue to support caregivers, in-person and virtually, to ensure that my clients live fully and die prepared, to experience a good death.
